VOV.VN - Vietnam has been through 74 consecutive days without recording any single coronavirus case in the community, keeping the national infection tally at 355, while the overall number of recoveries rose to 335 or 94.4%, the Ministry of Health said on June 29.
The latest confirmed cases of COVID-19 were Vietnamese nationals returning from foreign countries and quarantined immediately after entry.
A further five COVID-19 patients were successfully discharged from hospital the same day, including a six-years-old child, with the country’s total number of fully recovered cases amounting to 335, equaling a recovery rate of 94.4%.
Of the total 355 cases confirmed, 215 were imported ones and the remainder were community transmissions.
As many as 10,027 cases having close contact with registered patients and entering the country from epidemic-hit areas are being kept in quarantine for health monitoring throughout the nation.
There are 20 coronavirus cases in treatment up to now nationwide and among them, four have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus once or at least twice.
