The news comes after the management board of Binh Dinh FC confirmed that Thanh Binh is currently undergoing a 14-day period.
This follows the defender leaving the south-central province of Binh Dinh to return to his hometown in Thai Binh province.
Upon his return to Binh Dinh FC, Thanh Binh was requested to undergo a 14-day period of mandatory isolation as he had just returned from one of the nation’s COVID-19 hotspots. Furthermore, the footballer had also traveled by plane which greatly increases the risk of spreading the virus among the community.
Putting people into quarantine is one of the measures being implemented to contain the further spread of the COVID-19, said head coach Nguyen Duc Thang.
At present Thanh Binh is on a season-long loan at Binh Dinh FC from Viettel FC.
